Coronavirus Information

On Wednesday the 12th August we returned to Level 2 COVID restrictions. This means there is an upper limit on gatherings of 100 people so we are unable to meet together on Sunday mornings. Small groups can meet for prayer, Bible study and on-line worship services.

Sunday services

We plan to continue our Sunday worship services on-line until the upper limit on gatherings is raised to accommodate our regular morning attendance. For resources (songs, prayers, sermon, etc.) to worship at home, click here.

Welcome to Tawa Baptist Church

Founded in 1952, we are a Christian church, affiliated with the Baptist Union of New Zealand.  Our core values define who we are and our purpose in the Tawa community.  They are;

Relational         Welcoming and safe / Genuine care for one another

Engaging            Sharing biblical truth / Freedom to be involved

Authentic          Practical Expressions of service / Integrating faith

Lasting                Passing on the faith / Making decisions faithfully

These values are our measure for how we want to live and to serve God in His church; to Glorify God and be a blessing to His world. All visitors are welcome, we hope you feel at home with us. If you’d like to know more, please get in touch with us.
